These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the DOSHost.net Texting Service ("Texting Service"), operated by DOSHost.net ("we," "us," or "our"). The Texting Service uses Twilio's programmable messaging on toll-free number +1 (844) 429-0710 to deliver SMS notifications related to SixBit Stories content, including new podcast episodes, articles, updates, or related notifications.

By opting in to receive messages (e.g., verbally during a call or by texting an opt-in keyword like JOIN or START), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not opt in or participate.

The Texting Service provides informational SMS messages about SixBit Stories — our podcast and articles exploring fatherhood alongside technology topics (e.g., AI, education, biblical wisdom, family resilience). Examples include alerts for new episode releases, article publications, or occasional related updates. Messages are sent at varying frequency based on content releases.

This is not a commercial service; participation is voluntary and not required to access our public content on https://doshost.net or X.com (@DOSHostNet).

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in some jurisdictions) to opt in. By opting in, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

• Consent is obtained verbally (with a script provided during the call and a confirmation SMS sent immediately) or by texting an opt-in keyword (e.g., JOIN, START, YES) to +1 (844) 429-0710.
• Consent is not a condition of purchasing goods/services or accessing our free content.
• You agree to receive autodialed or prerecorded messages at the phone number provided.

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. You are responsible for all charges from your carrier. Contact your carrier for details on rates and any restrictions.

• To stop receiving messages, reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to any message. We will send a confirmation and remove you from the list.
• To get help or more information, reply HELP — you will receive instructions and a link to our Privacy Policy.
• You can also contact us directly (see Section 11).
• After opting out, you may re-join by opting in again.

You agree not to:

• Use the Texting Service for any unlawful, abusive, harassing, or harmful purpose.
• Send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or attempt to overload/harm the service.
• Impersonate others or provide false information during opt-in.

We may terminate your participation (and block your number) for violations without notice.

All messages, including episode/article notifications, are our property or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify our content without permission, except for personal, non-commercial use as allowed by law.

The Texting Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, timeliness, or uninterrupted delivery of messages. We do not guarantee message delivery (due to carrier/network issues).

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DOSHost.net, its owners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Texting Service, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability shall not exceed $100 USD.

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted here with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance. For significant changes, we may notify via SMS where feasible.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Dakota, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in courts located in Grand Forks County, North Dakota.

• These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy (available at https://doshost.net/privacy-policy), constitute the entire agreement.
• If any provision is invalid, the remainder remains in effect.
• We may assign these Terms; you may not without our consent.

By opting in or continuing to receive messages, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
